A detective is forced to take matters in his own hands when his past threatens to destroy his future.
Ben, a front-line police officer had been struggling with PTSD. Afraid of the repercussions that coming clean about his mental illness will have on his career, he resorts to self-medicating; using heroin to deal with the symptoms of the PTSD. His drug dealer is a petty drug dealer turned police informant named James. James supplies Ben with heroin in secret for financial reasons. A recent decision by Ben – recently promoted to detective – to stay clean, has left James with some left over heroin.
When a client, a young girl, overdoses and dies at his house, from heroin he has supplied her, the situation turns grim for James. Matters take a terrible turn for James when at that moment there is an unexpected visit from Ben. But the visit, which initially sends James into a panic, actually presents James with a potential way out which he takes at the first opportunity. Ben, left with few choices, decides to take matters in his own hands and to clean up the whole mess. But the new blood on his hands will crush him and he knows it.
